Ade Lee
That’s just scratching the surface. But right now he’s on his photography grind, with dreamy vasaline-smeared lens shots that he’ll show at the show in a few weeks. He’ll give himself a humble backseat position in the gallery because he’s like that. Much like his character, his soundtrack is a quiet storm, kicking off with The Cure, delving into pretty obscure blues-funk that rattled the studio and he wasn’t bashful about Dire Straits. We waiting for the solo.
BONUS! Here’s a show from the 2025 Art of PR gang...
Art of PR at the Coningsbly Gallery in Soho is a collection of works by folks from PR and it’s ace.
Friday 12th Sept 2025 is an unofficial reverse launch, the night before it closes, and you’re invited to come and drink with us. Yes, that’s a bit backwards, but it’s the first day when the tube strike doesn’t make it such a pain to visit. And it’s better than ever – OK, it’s only the second year, but still, strength to strength – and it’s something worth seeing and celebrating.
The show is made up of tunes selected by the artists: Ade Lee (founder/ curator), Kim Badland, Lucy Baker, Justine Bower, Joanna Drabent, David Emmanuel Noel, Tonye Ekine, Emily Rose Halladay, Alexandra Heybourne, Jessica Jackson, Shama Johns, Ade Lee, Clara Pérez Miñones, Simon Moore, Gemma Moroney, Fola Odumosu, Nadia Padayachy, myself, Joe Thomas and Stella Tooth. Many have done shows and they’re linked by name. But save it for later, get your work wrapped up and come to join us from around 6pm – it’s nearly your last chance and it’ll be a blast.
Tom Waits, The Selector, Miles Davies, Tems, Aldous Harding and did I mention Tom Waits?
