I've half-known KesselsKramer's Charlie Bowden for years: Old colleagues at Freuds celebrated his thinking; he give me brilliant advice about SCA and his wise eye on my portfolio made it better. After several invites that landed at the wrong time I snagged him with 'I've got a slot next week', and it was the lovely union I'd hankered for. I should have brought wine, really, but a pint was enough to get a slice of his personal non-definitive soundtrack.
"I'm not a music nerd", he said, but with a new favourite Afrobeat tune I'd never hear (Teaspoon & EL Waves), Bad Religion, The Pharsyde and a credible Miley Cyrus find, I can't help feel that I was hustled. I'm still listening to Oh Yeh Soweto.
