Sometimes you just have to go full-Alan Partridge. I’ve had too many drop-outs to bail on another slot, so I figured I’d go solo and play some tunes that I’m enjoying.

It started as a bit of an obligation and ended up an absolute joy. You get more rnb-orientated hip hop (Viktor Vaughan & Apani B, JID & Mereba) and 90’s boom bap (Wu Tang, Pusha T) than you bargained for; plus some Awful Records Atlanta from Danger Incorporated. Plus a little bit of Sho Madjozi, that Chuck Jackson tune that I can’t stop banging on about, and even a lil something from Mali.

There will be more of these. It’s my show and I’ll play what I damn well like.
